I came across a site by Neil Paricha, author of The Book of Awesome and The Book of Even More Awesome. I love how he is promoting his books -- by extending the idea behind the books to his blog. Each day he blogs about something awesome -- the small and simple joys in life that are all around you, no matter how bad a day you're having. I loved it, so I thought I'd share it with you.
1000 Awesome Things
Enjoy!
How does your blog or website represent who you are as an author? What brings you joy?
"Everybody has a secret world inside of them. All of the people of the world, I mean everybody. No matter how dull and boring they are on the outside, inside them they've all got unimaginable, magnificent, wonderful, stupid, amazing worlds. Not just one world. Hundreds of them. Thousands maybe" ~ Neil Gaiman (A Game of You)

That's very clever, blogging about what's awesome.
That's the best idea for a blog. I like how it's shameless and fun, too. After all, the verbal community needs to stick together!

Hey, I was just over at his blog a moment ago! (trying to catch up on blogs alphabetically, though I should start at the end because I never make it all the way through...)
I loved today's entry - making up secret words with friends that only you understand!
My book's website is different because it's a business book, not really of interest to the general public, but I made the website very informative, to give readers a hint of the kind of practical information they can find in my book.
Enjoy Mother's Day weekend!!

Thanks, Angela and Ava.
Sue, I stole this from your site! I love this. And I guess I'm lucky my blog starts with "A!"
What a great blog idea!
I thought for a second you meant this book: An Awesome Book of Thanks, which is really nice too.
Fun, fun! I love all these great ideas from other writers! Speaking of blogs....
Tag! You're it! :) I just tagged you over on my blog today, so come on over and copy the post. You can put in your own answers and tag someone else--giving us even more personal information...I mean insight into who you are. :) Love ya!!!
That sounds like a cool book, and what a great idea. I think it's important to share positive things through blogging. Otherwise, who would read?
I'm still working on the whole branding thing. someday.
